Overview
Mairead practices complex commercial litigation in state and federal court, with extensive experience with class and collective action defense. Mairead’s practice spans industries and clients, including oil and gas, energy, healthcare, financial services, hospitality, tribal enterprise, mining, and nonprofits.
Mairead is experienced with all aspects of litigation. She priorities efficient and strategic pretrial practice. By developing and executing a clear strategy early on, Mairead resolves claims and issues in the early stages of litigation, saving her clients the time, expense, and exposure of protracted litigation and trial.
Prior to joining WWPF, Mairead worked in the litigation and strategic response groups of an international law firm. She clerked for the Honorable Regina Rodriguez at the US District Court for the District of Colorado and for the Honorable Allison Eid at the Colorado Supreme Court.
Mairead has been identified by Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch.” Mairead was a finalist for the Colorado Bar Association’s 2020 Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Award and is a recipient of the Pro Bono Service Award from the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network. Mairead is also on the Board of the Directors of the Women’s Bean Project. Mairead is a graduate of UCLA School of Law.
Natural Resources Litigation. Mairead has extensive experience representing oil and gas companies in class and multi-plaintiff oil and gas royalty, title, and other disputes. Her oil and gas and energy experience includes general business disputes, contract actions, negligence, and fraud.
Employment Litigation. Mairead represents clients across industries in class and collective actions related to alleged FLSA violations, including regular rate and meal and rest break claims, in addition to state and federal employment laws.
Healthcare. Mairead represents healthcare companies in a wide range of business disputes, including employment, breach of contract, fraud, and anti-kickback actions.
Hospitality. Mairead represents and counsels ski resorts, hotels, and home-sharing companies in litigation and regulatory compliance.
