Lauren Claassen Selected for Teach For America-Colorado Champions Circle Program

Lewis, Bess, Williams & Weese P.C. attorney Lauren Claassen has been selected to join Teach For America-Colorado Champions Circle program.

TFA-Colorado Champions Circle is a civic learning forum for rising Colorado business leaders committed to growing their knowledge, network and engagement in the education landscape. Seminars for Champions are hosted once a month over the course of 9 months and are designed to provide attendees with a well-rounded view of education in Colorado. Emerging business leaders will gain an in-depth understanding of the education landscape in Colorado, which will help inform their decisions in the future as they step into roles whose actions impact the community. The program will include panel discussions with experts, insights from esteemed public school teachers, informed discussions on public policy issues effecting education, etc.

I look forward to working with this prestigious group of community leaders and exploring ways I can contribute.”

Lauren is not the first Lewis Bess attorney to join Teach For America’s initiative. Attorneys Anish Michael and Carlos Romo were part of the 2018 Champions Circle class.

The first two meetings for Champions Circle took place in September and covered foundational knowledge of the education landscape in Colorado, as well as a panel discussion with experts on the real purpose of education. October’s meeting will pair Champions with Teach For America teachers to provide real-world insight into the challenges and realities of teaching in vulnerable communities.
