Ezekiel J. Williams and Ben H. Kass Present on Environmental Compliance Issues at National Ski Areas Association Winter Conference

Steamboat Springs, Colorado (January 21, 2014) – Lewis, Bess, Williams & Weese attorneys Zeke Williams and Ben Kass presented at the National Ski Areas Association Winter Conference on January 21-23 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The conference, sponsored by the National Ski Areas Association, was attended by over 200 individuals from all sectors of the ski industry.

Mr. Williams and Mr. Kass presented on the topic of “Environmental Regulatory Compliance: Reducing the Impact on Nature & Your Resort’s Bottom Line.” This presentation included an overview of regulatory issues and case studies involving topics such as wetlands impacts, storm water management, oil storage and spill prevention regulations, water withdrawal issues, and air quality regulations related to stationary engines.

Zeke Williams practices natural resources, environmental, and federal public lands law and litigation. Zeke combines extensive substantive knowledge with expertise in a number of industries. His clients include oil and gas companies, ski areas, renewable and conventional energy developers, mining companies, trade associations, and individuals. He represents clients in federal and state court litigation and appeals, and advises clients on environmental and natural resources laws.

Ben Kass has extensive experience representing oil and gas, solar, wind, and biofuel energy companies, ski areas, and Fortune 500 companies, both in complex civil litigation and by providing practical advice and counseling on regulatory, permitting, public lands, real estate, water, and other day-to-day business issues.
