Denver, CO (January 5, 2023) – Williams Weese Pepple & Ferguson is pleased to announce that Attorneys John Bernetich, Dale Ratliff, and Maribeth Younger have been elected as Directors, effective January 1, 2023.

John Bernetich

John H. BernetichJohn Bernetich’s practice focuses on environmental, energy and commercial litigation. He advises and represents clients in matters relating to energy, public lands, air pollution, environmental assessments, and commercial contract disputes.  John has particular expertise in advising companies and individuals who seek or hold authorizations to use federal or state land.

John is a graduate of Vermont Law School and clerked for Judge Peter W. Hall of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Dale Ratliff

Dale Ratliff’s practice focuses on environmental and administrative law, with an emphasis on supporting natural resource projects and recreation and tourism businesses on public lands. Dale’s clients include ski areas, renewable energy developers, lodging and resort owners, rafting companies, outfitters and guides, water supply developers, helium developers, oil and gas companies, and other project proponents.

Dale is a graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he finished first in his class and focused his scholarship on environmental, natural resource, and water issues. Prior to law school Dale worked as a ski patroller on Aspen Mountain and as a professional fly-fishing guide in Basalt, Colorado, southwestern Alaska, and Chilean Patagonia.

Maribeth Younger

Maribeth Younger’s practice focuses on advising individuals and families in the development of their estate plans, closely-held business structuring, marital matters, and charitable planning. She represents individuals in trust design, succession planning, charitable, and wealth transfer strategies. She also represents businesses in company formation and operation, partnership agreements, mergers and acquisitions, equity financings, joint ventures, and business succession planning.

Maribeth is a graduate of Harvard Law School. She currently serves as a Director and Committee Chair on the Craig Hospital Foundation Board, and as a Director and Committee Chair on the Executive Board of Horizons Colorado at Colorado Academy.
